Volcano National Park |
|
Arenal, one of the most active volcanoes
in the world, is one of Costa Rica’s most visited sites. The
thunder-like rumble of the volcano and the sight of steam, ash,
or molten lava flowing from its crater, are truly awe-inspiring.
To be able to observe this natural wonder while relaxing in hot
spring pools, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and maybe sipping
your favorite drink, is an experience you will never forget!
This tour will take you to the north central
section of Costa Rica. You will get your first glimpse of the volcano
as we reach Lake Arenal, our largest man-made lake. If you choose
to, we can go on an approximately 45 minute rain forest hike as
we near the base of the volcano.

Besides the sights and sounds of the
volcano itself, the highlight of this trip for many visitors is
a trip to one of the hot springs resorts in the area. We will choose
either Baldi Hot Springs or the Tabacon Resort for your trip. At
either spa, you will love relaxing in a series of naturally heated
hot springs and pools. You’ll want to try them all to find
your favorite! Weather-permitting, you’ll have a fantastic
view of the volcano as you soak, but even if it’s cloudy,
you’ll surely enjoy the beautiful gardens surrounding you.
Keep an eye out overhead as well, because toucans and howler monkeys
are occasional guests here, too!
